Oriental and Fine Wool Rug Cleaning

Ok Let's talk a bit about those expensive fine rugs that you have spent numerous hours discussing, trying to get the best look for your area.

Now that you have made that final decision, put you "Artwork" in place and you love it, all the time spent on the research was all worthwhile. It matches your decor. Friends and family comment on the beauty it adds to the space. Giving a warm feeling to the room.

Whether it is an Antique Persian or a machine made Karastan it's what you love and it should be treated with as much care as the selection process.

The care you give these pieces will reward you with many years of joy.

The routine maintenance of your rug is one of the most important aspects of cleaning.

In Days gone by rugs were cleaned by taking them outside and hanging them across a line and beating them. This may be considered old school but the desired effects haven’t changed. When the Kids or Mothers and Grandmothers did this, in the sunshine the dirt and dust would poof out of the rug. Their effort was rewarding with every whack seeing it start to shine again.

We see this in our shop daily

The reality is there are few folks that have the time in our daily busy schedules for this type of effort.

That’s where the

The RUGBADGER

Takes over

Step One

 The Dusting Process

40,000 Harmonic Vibrations a Minute

Vibrate out even the most stubborn soil and sediments caught deep in the fibers of any area rug.

We Offer Dusting as a Stand Alone Service

The majority of soil in a carpet is dry, insoluble, particulate matter. This dry soil is often abrasive and will harm carpet fiber, fine particulate matter (dirt) dust allergens and that other nasty stuff. If not removed, under the weight of movement and foot traffic, these particulate soils cut and scratch carpet fibers resulting in premature wear.

Distinctive multi colored woven rugs get dirty just like a wall to wall synthetic, though they stain easier than synthetics, they tend to hide a lot of soil, they should be vacuumed often with a HEPA filtered vacuum, if the vacuum has a agitator brush or wheel this should be raised just above the pile height of the rug this will not fatigue or shed the pile prematurely.
